Essence Slater has big plans to help others
College student Essence Slater is a determined, hardworking college student with big dreams to help others.
She found herself within a semester of graduation when her college funds and financial aid ran dry. Once she becomes a registered nurse, she has a job waiting for her in a neurosurgery department at a local hospital where she has interned.
Her big dream is to go onto become a trauma flight nurse, being there for patients at the most vulnerable and critical time. She reached out to Just One More Foundation with her story of overcoming obstacles and a long history of already giving back. We invited her on this Zoom call, telling her we needed to learn more about her. The truth is, we had a big surprise!
